How to make peanut rice
Roasting peanut masala
Step 1:
- Lightly roast 1/4 cup peanuts
- Once the peanuts are roasted add 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 tbsp chana dal, and 1 tbsp urad dal. Roast for a few seconds
- Now add 6 to 7 kashmiri chilli and add 1 tsp jeera
- Next, add cloves of garlic, grated coconut, and 1/4 tsp hing. Roast them all on low flame.












Step 2:
- Add 1 small ball of tamarind,1 strand of curry leaves, and 1/2 tsp salt. Roast them all well





Step 3:
- Once done cool the mixture and grind it into a coarse powder.
- We can store this powder in an airtight glass container for a month


Cooking peanut rice
Step 1:
In a kadai, add 2 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp mustard seeds and let it splatter



Step 2:
Next, add 2 tbsp chana dal, urad dal, 2 tbsp peanuts, 1 spring of curry leaves, and 2 kashmiri chilli






Step 3:
- Finally, add 9 tsp of prepared peanut masala, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 3/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp ground pepper.





Step 4:
- Saute for a few seconds and then add 4 cups of cooked rice and mix well
- Mix them all well and serve hot!

Ingredients

- 1 Spring Curry leaves
- 2 Whole Kashmiri chilli
- 6 tsp Peanut masala
- 4 Cups Cooked rice
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- Pinch Turmeric
- 1/4 tsp Ground pepper
