Tamarind rice

Easy tamarind rice recipe
Tamarind rice powder:
Dry roast 1 tbsp Channa dal, 1 tbsp Urad dal, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 4 dry chilli, 1 tsp fenugreek, 1 tsp Pepper
Add it to a mixer and grind coarsely
Tamarind powder is ready! Store it in a airtight container and use it for a month
How to make tamarind rice
Step 1:
In a pan, add 3 tbsp oil and crackle 1/2 tsp mustard seeds.
Next, add 1 tsp chana dal and1 tsp urad dal and saute till golden brown.
Next, add 4 dry chili and few curry leaves
Now add 1/4 tsp asafoetida and mix well
Next add few peanuts and roast for 30 seconds
Step 2:
Now add 4 tbsp tamarind rice powder and mix well. Along with it add 3/4 tsp salt and give a good mix.
Step 3:
Finally, add 1/8 cup tamarind paste and mix well. Next, add 1/8 cup water and cook till the mixture becomes thick.
Step 4:
Now add cooked rice and coat well with the mixture
Tamarind rice is ready!
Cooking rice for tamarind rice
Take 1 cup basmati rice and rinse the rice twice
Now soak the rice for 20 minutes and then cook with 1 1/2 cup until 3 whistles
Wait till the pressure releases completely and then open and fluff the rice from the corners
