Ingredients

Paneer tikka marination

  • 2 tsp Gram flour - 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Curd
  • 200 Grams Paneer
  • 1/2 Cup Onion

Paneer tikka dum biryani

  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1/2 Cup onion
  • 1 large Green chilli
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/8 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/8 cup Mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup Tomato
  • 3/4 tsp Kashmiri chili
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 3 tbsp Curd

Basmati rice

  • 1 Cup Basmati rice
  • 3 Cups Water

Instructions

Paneer tikka marination

  • In a bowl add 2 tsp Gram flour, 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder, 1/2 tsp Cumin powder, 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp Oil, 3/4 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste, and 3 tbsp Curd.
  • Mix well and make a paste
  • Next, add 200 Grams Paneer and 1/2 Cup Onion. (cut them into medium size pieces)
  • Coat paneer and onion well with the paste and marinate for 20 minutes.

Paneer tikka

  • In a pan coat 1 tsp pf oil and place all the marinated paneer and onion.
  • Roat all the pieces evenly on all the sides.
  • Once done, remove it from the pan and keep it in a bowl

Paneer tikka dum biryani

  • In a thick bottom pan or cooker add 3 tbsp oil and heat the oil in medium flame
  • Next, add the spices(2 Cardamom, 1 Bay leaf, 2 Cinnamon, 2 Cloves) and saute for a second.
  • Next, add chopped onions and saute for a minute until onions turn translucent
  • Now add 1 large green chilli along with 1/8 cup coriander leaves and mint leaves. saute for 30 seconds.
  • Next, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and saute for another minute.
  • Add tomato and cook till they get completely mashed
  • Now add 3/4 tsp kashmiri chili, 3/4 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few seconds
  • Finally, add 3 tbsp curd and mix well.
  • Now close and cook for 30 seconds
  • After 30 seconds add roasted paneer tikka
  • Again close and cook for 30 seconds
  • Finally, layer it with cooked basmati rice along with ghee, mint leaves, and garam masala
  • Now close and place a heavy object or a bowl of water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame.
  • After 15 minutes paneer tikka dum biryani is ready!
