Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 Cup cooked rice(200 grams)
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • Chopped Cilantro
  • 1 Small Green chili
  • Salt to taste

Tempering

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp Chana dal
  • 1 Dried Red chilies
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

Cooking Rice

  • Pressure cook the rice till 3 whistles. Wait for the pressure to release completely and make sure the rice is cooked completely.
  • Once the rice has cooled completely, add the curd(1/4 cup) and milk(1/4 cup) and mix it together.
  • Add chopped green chili and mix to combine.

For the tempering

  • Heat oil in a small pan on medium heat
  • Add the mustard seeds and let them pop.
  • Then add the urad dal, chana dal, red chili, and cook till it gets golden brown
  • Add curry leaves and saute for few seconds

Curd rice

  • Transfer the tempering to the bowl of curd rice and mix.
  • Now sprinkle some salt and rest of the curd and mix well
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve!
