Ingredients

  • 200 grams Mushroom 2 cups
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • 1 Dried kapok bud
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 Cup Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 Cup Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 cup capsicum
  • 1 Spring Curry leaves

Instructions

  • In a kadai or pan add 2 tbsp oil and warm it up in high flame.
  • Once the oil is heated up, add the spices(2 Cinnamon,1 Dried kapok bud, 1 Bay leaf, and 2 Cardamom)
  • Next, add 2 cups of sliced onion and cook until translucent.
  • Next, add a spring of curry leaves.
  • Now, add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Next, add 1 1/2 cup sliced tomato and cook until the tomatoes arehalf cooked.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp of salt and cook till the tomatoes are completely cooked.
  • Next, add all the masalas(3/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp Garam masala, and 1/4 tsp Cumin powder)
  • Mix and cook until the masala is completely cooked(Check for the oil releasing from the masala)
  • Next, add 1/4 cup capsicum and mix well to the masala.
  • Next, add 200 grams of sliced mushroom(2 cups).
  • Cover and cook the mushroom from the water it releases.
  • Finally, roast the mushroom masala until dry.
  • Check for the masala sticking to the mushroom. At this point remove it from the kadai/pan and serve hot.
  • Serve this masala with idli, dosa, chapathi, and with any variety of rice.
